Where to find all Firebase Z Mystery Box locations in Black Ops Cold War Zombies
Special weapons are generally found in the Mystery Box, and Black Ops Cold War’s new Zombies map – Firebase Z – has plenty. Let us show you where you can find them all.
Mystery Boxes are sometimes a literal matter of life or death in Zombies. It’s easy to be overwhelmed by a litany of fearsome zombies and the only thing that can help is putting your fate in the hands of the gods.
The random nature of the box is what makes it so endlessly curious and addictive. Let’s face it, every use of the box is a complete gamble as you’re hoping to trade your 950 points for a Ray Gun or the new RAI K-84.
On the other hand, you could get a Sniper Rifle or even a repeat of something you already have. Though it never bothers us as the risk is worth the reward, and it’s all a bit of fun in the end.
So here are all the different Mystery Boxes that you can find scattered cross the Firebase Z map.
Firebase Z Mystery Box #1 – Courtyard
You can find the first box in the village by the Pack-a-Punch machine, but early indicators are that the box will never spawn here first
Meaning that if you’re wanting to try your luck straight away, then you’ll need to work your way over to the main Firebase Z area.
Firebase Z Mystery Box #2 – Planning Offices
After using the Teleporter in the early stages of the map, you should arrive in the Firebase itself. Upon arrival, immediately turn left and follow the purple arrows into a building, and head up the stairs. You should find the location at the top.
Firebase Z Mystery Box #3 – Rocky Defense
From the last location, follow two more purple arrows, head down some stairs until you find yourself outside. Turn right and the box location will be against the wall.
Firebase Z Mystery Box #4 – Motor Pool
The room that contains the location for the RAI K-84’s Blueprint is your starting point here.

You’ll want to exit this room and you can find it on the way back to the starting area outside. It will be opposite a destroyed truck outside, and on an adjacent wall to a gun you can buy.
Firebase Z Mystery Box #5 – Barracks
For the fifth box, you’ll need to find the new Tombstone perk machine. Then open the door next to the Perk machine and follow this path until you eventually find the Mystery Box location.
Firebase Z Mystery Box #6 – Jungle Defense
This box can only be found once you’ve turned on the Aether Reactor. Doing this will cause an explosion that will reveal a new area, and the box will be inside there.
