There are four media sticks to be found across Los Santos. The first can be found by visiting the Nightclub and searching Tony’s Desk in his office. Next, head to the Arcade bar. If you don’t own one, you can visit a friend’s and find one there.

After that, head to the Diamond Casino and go to the roof terrace, while the last one is found at the new Car Meet Warehouse.

Each media stick unlocks a new EP for players to listen to in the media player inside a vehicle.

  • Inside a Nightclub, on Tony’s Desk in the office.
  • In the Arcade on the bar, opposite the cash register.
  • On a table on the roof terrace of the Diamond Casino.
  • Near the mod shop area at the Car Meet Warehouse.

GTA Online’s next-gen edition has brought Hao’s Special Works to the game, allowing PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X players to purchase exclusive vehicle upgrades. Here’s how to use Hao’s Special Works and unlock the HSW vehicle upgrades.

GTA Online’s next-gen version is here, bringing 4K resolution, a smooth 60FPS, and faster load times to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. But that’s not all, as next-gen players can fit their cars with the brand-new Hao’s Special Works, or HSW, upgrades.

HSW upgrades will take your vehicles to another level, so here’s everything you need to know about Hao’s Special Works, including how to unlock it, which cars you can upgrade, and how to claim the free vehicle.

How to unlock Hao’s Special Works in GTA Online

After you’ve transferred your GTA Online character to the next-gen edition, the game will point you directly towards Hao, as he’ll call you to come and collect one of his souped-up cars.

Simply follow the marker to his garage in Vinewood, and then he’ll give you a time trial to complete. You’ll have a generous eight minutes to complete the time trial, so don’t panic, just take your time, and you should clear it with a couple of minutes to spare.

Hao’s Special Works location

Finding Hao’s Special Workshop can be a little bit tricky, as it isn’t marked on the map as you would expect.

To get there, you’ll actually need to head to the LS Car Meet, down in the southeast of Los Santos. Once inside, Hao can be found in the northeast corner of the workshop, where he will happily help you mod your car — for a price.

Not every GTA Online vehicle can be fitted with HSW upgrades. Hao can upgrade nine cars for you in GTA Online, five of them being the brand-new next-gen exclusive vehicles.

The next-gen exclusive Karin S95 usually costs $1,995,000, but returning players can claim it for free. And the best part is, it’ll already be maxed out with every HSW upgrade. Simply head to Southern San Andreas Super Autos and you can claim the Karin.

Plus, for winning the time trial, you’ll also get an HSW Performance Upgrade for free.

Hao’s Special Works upgrades & services

Once you have a car that Hao can upgrade, it’s time to head to the LS Car Meet and let him upgrade your ride. Before you can add anything crazy though, you’ll need to convert your vehicle using an HSW Performance Upgrade.

Luckily, you get one of these for free when you complete Hao’s time trail, but you’ll need to pay for additional cars in the future. Once converted, here’s everything you can buy to make your car even faster.

  • HSW Brakes
  • HSW Engine Tune
  • HSW Suspension
  • HSW Transmission
