XDefiant has been released globally, but to deliver the best experience, having anti-cheat has proven to be a key feature to keep hackers away in other FPS titles. So, does XDefiant have anti-cheat? Here’s all you need to know.

XDefiant offers players a new FPS Ubisoft-themed experience. However, due to the massive reach games have, the plague of hackers and cheaters has become one of the biggest problems completely ruining the experience.

To solve this, many games incorporate an anti-cheat with security measures to protect players and provide the best possible experience. So, here’s all you need to know about XDefiant’s anti-cheat.

Does XDefiant have anti-cheat?

Yes, XDefiant has an anti-cheat system. As a matter of fact, in its last Server Test Session held from April 19 to April 21, the devs guaranteed XDefiant’s anti-cheat was already being enhanced, noting “improved anti-cheat protection” in the April 18 patch notes.

Despite the dev team being fully transparent and vocal about the game’s features and content, XDefiant’s Executive Producer, Mark Rubin, mentioned that the team tries “not to be too transparent” about the game’s anti-cheat to “avoid leaking info” that could help cheaters get around the barriers.

What anti-cheat does XDefiant use?

XDefiant uses BattlEye anti-cheat, according to the official subreddit FAQ section. This anti-cheat includes a “fully fledged proactive protection system, fast dynamic and permanent scanning of the player’s system in user and kernel-mode,” along with other features to prevent hackers from ruining the game experience.

Additionally, the BattlEye anti-cheat system is also present in other popular Ubisoft games like The Crew 2, Rainbow Six Siege, and more.

All in all, players can rest assured knowing that XDefiant will use an anti-cheat system to detect and neutralize hackers. Therefore, to enjoy the game, be sure to pick the best Faction and weapons allowing you to dominate every map and game mode.
