YouTuber JGOD exposes a new way to ‘stim glitch’ in CoD Warzone

YouTuber JGOD has called for some changes in Warzone after discovering another way to perform the stim glitch.

YouTuber JGOD has called for changes to Warzone due to the various exploits players are using to abuse the stim shots.

In a game as difficult as CoD: Warzone, competitive integrity and balancing are always important to maintain the exciting gameplay for all players. Unfortunately, Warzone has been prone to a glitch on several occasions that have destroyed the fun of the game for some.

Coined the “stim glitch,” players have been abusing this glitch for months each time a new strategy is found. As of writing, the stim glitch has resurfaced a total of three times, and now is in the game yet again, but not as a “glitch.”

In a video posted by JGOD, he details the new strategy to survive the gas and get “unlimited stims” in a way that doesn’t involve cheating. All you need to do is collect money as a squad (around $50,000), then sit at a buy station, spam buy ammo crates, and then use them to restock stim shots.

While doing this, you also need to continually pick-up the ammo crates on the ground, to ensure they don’t despawn. Additionally, having restock equipped is also a huge help. Since this is completely done without a glitch, it technically isn’t cheating.

To combat this, JGOD has recommended two potential fixes to the developers. The first of which is to despawn all items 30 seconds after it enters the gas, which currently seems to be at a 2-minute timer.

The second solution would be the most effective for all stim glitches, which is to simply kill a player who is in the gas for too long. If the damage grows exponentially, players will eventually take 100+ damage in one hit, taking them out of the game.

This would be the best solution because it would essentially fix all future stim glitch exploits. Hopefully, developer Raven Software deploys a patch soon for this game-breaking issue.

Major Warzone Gallo nerf goes live in September 23 update

Since the Gallo was dominating in Warzone Season 5, the developers have decided to nerf it in the latest September 23 update patch notes.

Warzone Gallo nerf

Warzone Season 5 Reloaded received a new update on September 23, which applied a nerf to the Gallo shotgun, a weapon players had been using a lot this season due to its strength up-close.

Warzone has enjoyed a lot of success recently, primarily due to the new Iron Trials mode, which players have enjoyed thoroughly, especially as the devs have teased its arrival in custom lobbies for the future.

The Season 5 Reloaded update saw the weapon meta shift again, bringing the Kilo back to the top of the ARs while the Gallo remained very strong for close-quarters combat.

Unfortunately for those who had been enjoying the meta dominated by this Black Ops Cold War Shotgun, the latest update has brought a Warzone Gallo nerf.

In the latest September 23 update, Raven Software decided to tweak the Iron Trials mode slightly and bring some buffs and nerfs to various weapons.

The weapons affected include the Bullfrog and the Gallo, which have been extremely strong this season. Let’s look at the Warzone Gallo nerf and how they have decided to change the weapon.

Warzone Gallo nerf

  • Maximum Damage Range decreased from 4.5 to 3.5 meters
  • Second Damage Range decreased from 8.1 to 5.5 meters
  • Third Damage Range decreased from 13.2 to 9.9 meters

In the developer notes for why they decided to push the Warzone Gallo nerf live, they stated that:

“The Shotgun Bravo (BOCW) has been incredibly dominant due to its Effective Damage Range, Magazine Capacity, Mobility, and Rate of Fire. By reducing its Effective Damage Ranges, the Shotgun Bravo (BOCW) will begin to feel more like a Shotgun and less like a Sniper.”

The Warzone Gallo nerf does seem pretty significant and targets the weapons’ damage range like the developer note states. The weapon will likely still be very powerful up-close, but it won’t be as versatile or reliable as an SMG.

We’ll have to see how far the Warzone Gallo nerf reduced the effectiveness of the Cold War Shotgun as players get to try it out now the update has gone live. For more Call of Duty: Warzone, check out how a banned Bullfrog blueprint is breaking the game’s audio.

Warzone Season 5 Reloaded’s Iron Trials ’84 mode has been received exceptionally well by the community, with the developers now teasing a custom lobby option for the future.

Warzone Season 5 Reloaded didn’t just shift the weapon meta with buffs and nerfs. It also introduced arguably Warzone’s most successful limited-time mode, Iron Trials ’84.

Despite replacing Duos, Iron Trials has been received very well by players, with some even asking the developers to make the mode permanent.

As the mode has been enjoyed so much by players, it seems the devs are planning to provide players with an option for it in custom lobbies, as a new tweet suggests.

Iron Trials ’84 is Warzone Season 5’s new mode that players have loved as of recent. Boasting a higher time to kill, reimagined loot, and a lack of free loadouts, Iron Trials was introduced as Warzone’s toughest mode yet.

Some players have loved the mode so much that they have been asking the developers to keep it in the game permanently and possibly use it as the base of a new ranked mode that players have wanted for so long.

Although there is no confirmation about Iron Trials staying in the game, especially as it is still set to be removed on September 30, the devs have teased the mode coming to custom lobbies.

In a recent tweet, JGOD asked Raven Software, “Any chance Iron Trials can be added to the Customs options in tomorrow’s playlist Update?”

Raven then responded that there were no plans to add it in the upcoming playlist update but didn’t rule out its arrival in the future.

“As for customs… it’s not coming 𝘵𝘰𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘰𝘸 is all we can say for now.”

At the end of this sentence, the winky face definitely points to future plans to bring this mode to custom lobbies, so the community can enjoy it whenever they want.

Hopefully, players will see more of Iron Trials for Warzone’s future, and perhaps they plan to carry it through to Call of Duty: Vanguard when the game integrates with Warzone.

Slide canceling is an essential tool in any Warzone player’s armory, and we’ve got everything you need to master the slide cancel movement mechanic.

Running in Call of Duty Warzone

Warzone players are always looking for new ways to gain an upper hand on opponents, and if you’re looking to use movement to outwit your enemies, slide canceling is a must-have tool in your armory.

Warzone Season 5 Reloaded introduced various new changes to the battle royale, including weapon buffs and nerfs, as well as a brand-new Iron Trials ’84 mode. However, the mechanics remain the same.

Great movement can often mean the difference between victory and defeat. Slide canceling is easily the most important trick you can use to improve your mobility in combat during a Warzone match.

How to slide cancel on PC in Warzone

Anyone who played Modern Warfare will be well aware of slide canceling, and it’s still an incredibly useful trick to wield in Warzone. It lets you chain together Tactical Sprints to move much faster than usual.

To do it on PC, you’ll need to change some keybinds to make it possible, but the mechanic is helpful no matter which platform you play on. Just go into the key settings and Rebind your left CTRL-key to “Change Stance/Slide.”

This will let you go prone while pressing that key. Here’s how you can slide cancel in Warzone:

  1. Double-tap your left Shift button to start Tactical Sprinting
  2. Hold the left CTRL key to slide while you’re in the middle of your Tactical Sprint
  3. Immediately press CTRL again to crouch, so you return to a standing position.

How to slide cancel on consoles in Warzone

Slide canceling is much easier to do when playing Warzone with a controller. Here’s how you can get it done:

  1. Double-tap the left analogue stick to activate Tactical Sprint
  2. Hold Circle/B to start sliding
  3. As soon as the slide begins, tap Circle/B again to crouch
  4. Press X/A to return to a standing position

As soon as you hit the ground, tap it again to stand back up and repeat the process. Knowing how to Warzone slide cancel is easy in theory but will take some practice to master.

Sneaking up on your enemy in Warzone

Hopping into a private match in Warzone will help you learn how to control it without worrying about enemies trying to pick you off.

That covers everything you need to know about slide canceling in Warzone. Once you’ve got it down, you’ll be able to move much quicker around the map and use it to evade players while giving yourself a leg up in close-range gunfights.
